Firefox Advanced Features
|

|
This document is provided as a reference for users who wish to explore the functionality offered within the Firefox browser.
|

The following information is provided for MIDAS users who DO NOT receive IT technical support from IT Service Desk (i.e. you do not have a “Property of GOS” green label on your computer):
If you have a desktop MIDAS Firefox icon or if you have received a communication from your IT service provider regarding accessing MIDAS, your computer should be ready to access MIDAS. If you are uncertain if your computer has been configured to access MIDAS, please contact your IT service provider.
Firefox Notes
The supported MIDAS internet browser is Firefox 52.9.0.
It is recommended that users access MIDAS using the Firefox 52.9.0 browser as this is the browser version that has been tested extensively and will be supported by the MIDAS support team. However users may choose to use a different browser with the understanding that any issues encountered will not be supported or resolved by the MIDAS support team.

Java Notes
|
|
|
The supported MIDAS Java version is 8.221.
Keep in mind that the version of Java required for MIDAS (8.221) could be different than the version you currently have installed on your workstation and that this could cause a conflict with any other Java dependent software you need to use.
Users will be required to have an updated version of Java (8.221)
installed on their computer. Note that if you do not have Java 8.221 installed on your workstation, MIDAS will automatically guide you through the process to download it the first time you log on after the upgrade. This will only work if you have the necessary privileges on your computer. You may require assistance from you IT technical services provider.
